This laser is quite good! I can't speak to the accuracy of the laser power output but it's perfectly sufficient for all but a very large space. The scanning speed is not particularly fast and the beam divergence is a bit high, but these are listed specifications and the difference between a $5000 USD laser and a $250 laser. Don't expect too much from the app Light Elf - I highly recommend budgeting another $100 for a Helios DAC to plug into the ILDA port to control the laser. I've been using the Modulaser program (Mac or PC) to great effect - it looks very cool and as long as the pattern isn't too complicated for the 15kbbs scanner you'll be very pleased.
